ABOUT RYAN SCANNELL M.D.

Dr. Scannell received his undergraduate and medical degree from Duke University. He was the recipient of multiple scholarships and awards and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Scannell completed six years of postgraduate training in the department of Otolaryngology at the University of Michigan Hospital. His first five years were dedicated to learning ear, nose and throat surgery. He then completed an American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) fellowship.

During his fellowship, Dr. Scannell had the honor of working side-by-side with Dr. Shan Baker, a world-renowned surgeon and past president of both the AAFPRS and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This unique learning opportunity allowed Dr. Scannell to immerse himself in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery and was integral in shaping his sense of aesthetics and in teaching him the intricacies and complexities of the field.

In his free time, Dr. Scannell enjoys spending time with his family, reading and listening to music. He is also crazy about skiing and is desperately trying to learn how to surf!!!
